Cross-disciplinary Joint Training Admission Program:

Mathematics (070100)

This program is managed by the Center for Applied Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Research of the college, with the goal of training innovative and interdisciplinary talents. The center aims to address cutting-edge scientific problems related to 5G/6G communication technology, utilizing two-dimensional materials and new electromagnetic materials to design high-performance communication chips and electromagnetic windows, enabling indoor penetration, coverage, extension, and enhancement of high-frequency signals for 5G/6G. It relies on the Nano Electronic Device Laboratory, the Engineering Technology Research Center for High-Definition Video Intelligent Analysis in Guangdong Province, and the Shenzhen Big Data Intelligent Information Processing Engineering Laboratory. Currently, the center has received significant funding, including a major project from the Ministry of Science and Technology (with a budget of 19.59 million yuan), a project from the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Basic Science Center (with a budget of 3 million yuan), a "Peacock Team" project from Shenzhen (with a budget of 20 million yuan), and several projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The center has a strong faculty team, including 2 recipients of the National Outstanding Youth Fund in Mathematics, 1 recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund in Materials Science, and 1 recipient of the National Excellent Youth Fund in Materials Science. There are also 2 professors and 3 assistant professors, all of whom have made outstanding academic contributions. Professor RaoFenghas published 2 research papers in the journal "Science," and members have conducted preliminary research cooperation on related research topics.
