The eighth Math Culture Month of the School of Mathematical Sciences was successfully launched.

On March 14, 2024, the School of Mathematical Sciences celebrated the launch ceremony of the eighth Math Culture Month. The ceremony took place grandly in the No.3 Lecture Hall of Huixing Building at Yuehai Campus. Wang Yu, Ye Xing, along with teachers and student representatives, attended the ceremony.

Wang Yu delivered the opening speech for the ceremony. She emphasized that the "Math Culture Month" serves as a distinctive brand activity of the college and is one of the school's influential and attractive events. This year's Math Culture Month will showcase the infinite charm of mathematics through even richer forms and more in-depth content. She hopes that through this event, the spirit of mathematics will be further promoted, inspiring a passion and pursuit for mathematics among all teachers and students. Wang Yu's vision is for mathematics to become an integral part of life, a powerful tool for seeking truth and exploring the world. The School of Mathematical Sciences takes advantage of "International Mathematics Day" on March 14th each year as an opportunity to organize a series of special activities for "Math Culture Month". These activities, including popular science reports, forums, cultural exhibitions, and fun activities, aim to create a positive environment for learning, discussing, and researching mathematics.
